Process

I view the art process as one of exploration and discovery and every project as a new adventure. It is an intuitive and sometimes experimental process and it requires emotional investment from both the artist and the client.

It begins, as all things do, by taking the first step, in this case an email or a phone call. We discuss the basic parameters and I may visit the site or ask for photos.

I will then make some preliminary drawings or models and working from those we will explore concepts and ideas and together create an artwork / maquette that represents your vision.

In the following photo, my client wanted an artistic gate at the entrance to his facility. I started by creating a scale model maquette to show my client.

When the project and budget was approved I moved on to . . .

Step 2: Gathering the necessary materials and working with a fabricator to cut, bend, weld and form the project.

Step three is delivery and installation.

It is a process that has worked well in the past and I look forward to a shared experience.
